Loudspeakers

Two identical loudspeaker cabinets side by side, one in a dark walnut tint and one in pale natural birch, each topped with a JBL horn, against a yellow wall. A loudspeaker cabinet in walnut-tinted birch plywood, with a black woofer, a slot port, and a JBL horn on top, against a yellow wall. A pale birch plywood loudspeaker cabinet with a JBL horn resting on top, against a yellow wall.

Inspired by the OJAS Art Bookshelf.

Built to understand what creates presence, dynamics, and the desire to listen.

The same cabinet, then variations: a walnut tint over birch plywood, then the walnut and the pale natural side by side. One design, worked through different woods until the finish matches the sound.

The driver is a JBL Control 328C. Its coaxial tweeter comes off the woofer and sits on its own JVC horn — one driver split in two, each half doing one job.
